CodiLime is a software and network engineering industry expert and the first-choice service partner for top global networking hardware providers, software providers and telecoms. We create proofs-of-concept, help our clients build new products, nurture existing ones and provide services in production environments. Our clients include both tech startups and big players in various industries and geographic locations (US, Japan, Israel, Europe).

The project and the team

We are building a testing and benchmarking platform, for Kubernetes clusters and service mesh solutions, that enables engineers to easily compare and verify the impact of their particular code or configuration changes on specific performance metrics. The project includes performing research and development on the tools, metrics, methods and methodologies addressing similar problems and integrating them into the platform.

What else you should know:

• The team consists of less than 10 people including Software Engineers, a DevOps Engineer, and an Engineering Manager

• We cultivate an Agile mindset

• We deliver end-to-end solutions and have full ownership of the product

• Our tech stack includes Kubernetes, Istio, AWS, Azure, Docker

• We use Git, Jira, Gitlab (including CI/CD pipelines)

• The client is based in the US

We work on multiple interesting projects at a time, so we may invite you to an interview for another project, if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.

Your role

As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for

• Developing new functionalities

• Helping other teams with software bottlenecks and testing methods

• Participating in technical discussions

• Writing automated tests for your code

• Validating the solution with the client and other teams

• Fixing discovered bugs

Do we have a match?

As a Junior Software Engineer you must meet the following criteria:

• Experience in Python

• Basic knowledge of git

• Good knowledge of Linux

• Good communication skills

• English (minimum B2 level)

Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:

• Experience in container orchestration with Kubernetes
