CodiLime is a software and network engineering industry expert and the first-choice service partner for top global networking hardware providers, software providers and telecoms. The project and the team

We are the IT Administration team at Codilime. Our responsibilities include supporting users and setting up and maintaining IT services in the company. We deal with virtual and physical servers, networks, many web services, host and network monitoring and automation.

Things to know about the role :

• The team consists of 5 people who support the Warsaw office, Gdansk office and remote users
• We provide IT support for 250+ employees using Jira Service Management
• We maintain hundreds of virtual machines on-premise and in the cloud (AWS, GCP and Azure) and dozens of bare metal servers
• We maintain the company network, internal services and VPN tunnels between locations
• We set up labs and learn new technologies on a regular basis
• We automate things with Ansible, Python scripts and Jenkins
• We work closely with the InfoSec team and Office Administration team

Your role

As a part of the IT Administration team, you will be responsible for:

• handling user requests using a ticket system
• maintaining internal services and setting up new ones
• maintaining and monitoring internal networks and hosts
• helping other teams achieve their goals

Do we have a match?

As a System and Network Administrator Intern you must meet the following criteria:

• good communication skills, including communication with employees reporting IT issues
• basic IT knowledge related to server and office equipment (desktop computers, servers, printers)
• basic knowledge of Linux (Debian-based or RedHat-based distributions)
• basic networking knowledge (LAN networks, IP/TCP stack, Firewall)
• communicative level of English (B1 level)

In addition to the criteria above, we would appreciate:

• experience working in a similar role or knowledge gained from university
• basic scripting knowledge (Python or Bash)
• basic knowledge of at least one virtualization management system or cloud (Proxmox, VMware, OpenStack, Hyper-V, oVirt, AWS, GCP or Azure)
• knowledge of troubleshooting Linux, Windows and macOS
